About this service
Browser Metronome is an independent service provided by a private individual based in Finland.
Privacy
The operator does not intentionally collect or store information about users. The service has no accounts, advertising, analytics, cookies or a user database. Changes to tempo and rhythm, playback progress and session results in the open page disappear when it is reloaded or closed. An entry link reopens its starting setup. Sharing a Practice setup is the explicit URL action described below.
If you explicitly choose Share practice, the generated URL contains the selected musical setup, but not sound, volume, playback progress or results. It contains no account, device, creator, analytics or playback-history identifier. Like any URL you open or send, it may appear in browser history and be processed by the browser, hosting service and recipient needed to open or share it.
Help search matches answers on your device, without sending queries to a search service. Your browser history entry keeps the query and return position so Back can restore them. Choosing Search places the query in the page address without making a request. Opening or reloading that address can send the query to the hosting service and keep it in browser history. Help search does not use cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage.
Help choices of skill level, role and practice stay in the current Help address and browser history. They do not create a saved profile. Following or reloading a Help address can send its choices and query to the hosting service. The Help centre does not use cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage for these choices.
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and may process technical connection and security data, such as IP addresses, request details and timestamps. The operator does not receive or have access to that Cloudflare technical data, and does not use it to identify visitors or create user profiles. Information about Cloudflare’s processing is available in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Because it creates no accounts, records or persistent visitor identifiers, the operator normally cannot identify a visitor or retrieve, correct or erase information relating to them. Requests about Cloudflare-processed information should be directed to Cloudflare.
Sound and browser behaviour
Clicks and timing are generated locally on your device; no audio or timing data is sent anywhere. Your device’s media volume controls the final output level. On supported iOS versions, the installed Home Screen app requests the media playback channel only while playback is active, which can make the tick audible in Silent Mode. Browsers can still require a user tap before sound begins and can suspend or interrupt audio when a page is backgrounded, a screen is locked or another app opens. Offline availability, Home Screen installation and operating-system media controls are optional browser features, not guarantees.
Terms
The service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or exact timing. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for indirect loss caused by use of or inability to use the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited or mandatory consumer rights.
These terms are governed by Finnish law, subject to mandatory law that applies where you live. Stop using the service if you do not accept them.
