Practice presets

Choose a Quick starting state or a fixed Practice routine. Each link opens its stated setup and waits for Start.

The expanding-silence presets form a three-step progression; open each as a separate run. Quick links open fixed starting states, not saved personal setups. If you adjust their controls, the address still describes the original entry state. Practice links carry supported settings but not sound, volume or progress.

Quick metronome

  • 7/8 grouped 2+2+3

7/8 at 120 BPM (eighth-note beats); 2+2+3 grouping; Main beats.

Clap the start of each group, then play seven even eighth notes without adding a pause.

  • 11/8 grouped 3+3+3+2

11/8 at 120 BPM (eighth-note beats); 3+3+3+2 grouping; Main beats.

Hold the eighth-note spacing steady while the last two-note group returns you to one.

  • Compound duplets

    6/8 at 120 BPM (dotted-quarter beats); 2 beats; Duplets.

Feel two broad dotted-quarter beats in 6/8 while the duplet click marks each halfway point.

  • Backbeat on 2 and 4

4/4 at 120 BPM (quarter-note beats); 4 beats; Main beats; beat pattern: mute, normal, mute, normal.

Count every quarter-note beat aloud and let the click confirm only two and four.

  • Between beats

4/4 at 120 BPM (quarter-note beats); 4 beats; Between beats.

Keep the numbered quarter-note beats in your body while the clicks sound on the intervening positions.

Practice

  • Four on, one off

    120 BPM; 4 click bars, 1 silent bar, 4 rounds; 1 count-in bar.

Play through the silent bar and compare your next downbeat with the returning click.

  • Expanding silence: one bar

    120 BPM; 4 click bars, 1 silent bar, 4 rounds; 1 count-in bar.

Begin a three-setup progression with one silent bar. Each step is a separate fixed run.

  • Expanding silence: two bars

    120 BPM; 4 click bars, 2 silent bars, 4 rounds; 1 count-in bar.

After the one-bar step is steady, try two silent bars in a separate run.

  • Expanding silence: four bars

    120 BPM; 4 click bars, 4 silent bars, 4 rounds; 1 count-in bar.

Move to four silent bars only after you can meet the returning click reliably.

  • 70 to 120 by five

    70 to 120 BPM by 5 every 4 complete bars; 1 count-in bar.

Raise tempo only after four complete bars. Stop if the passage becomes tense.

  • Controlled descent

    120 to 70 BPM by 5 every 4 complete bars; 1 count-in bar.

Lower tempo by five after each four-bar block while keeping the sound and movement even.

  • Ten-minute focus

    120 BPM; 10 minutes; 1 count-in bar.

Choose one passage and use the fixed duration to practise without changing the task midway.

  • Sixteen exact bars

    120 BPM; 16 bars; 1 count-in bar.

Repeat a phrase across sixteen practice bars and observe where the downbeat starts to drift.
