Using Browser Metronome offline
The short answer
Browser Metronome can open without a network connection after a successful online visit has cached the app. This depends on the browser keeping that cache. If storage is cleared or evicted, reconnect and open the site again before relying on it offline.
Prepare before a rehearsal
- While online, open the metronome and wait for the page to finish loading.
- Open any specific meter or rhythm setup you expect to use.
- Disconnect briefly and check that the required page opens. Press Start to confirm audio on that device.
Browser installation is optional where supported. An installed Home Screen app does not remove the browser’s storage and audio restrictions.
What stays local
The click sound and timing are generated in the open page. No account or tracking is required. A Practice share link contains supported setup values in its URL; the person who receives it can open the same settings. The hosting provider still processes network requests when you are online. If offline opening fails
Reconnect, reload the site and allow the successful visit to complete. Browsers may remove cached files when storage is scarce or private browsing ends. Keep the page open during practice; background audio and recovery after an interruption vary by browser and device.
